Angel's Heaven is the home for 24 kids, ages 3 to 14. The orphenage is located in a modest but clean and loving home in Saibu- 9, Bhaisepati Height of Lalitpur.
It was founded in 1999 by Mister Amrit Bikram Shahi (St Angel).
Angel's Heaven is run by Amrit and his wife Aishworya. They are helped by 7 groups of dedicated souls from different parts of Nepal, and volunteers.Our main goal is to rescue orphans from remote villages like Mustang, Dolpa, Dhading, Jajarkot, Humla, Khumjung and Gorpka.
Our beliefs
We believe that a little help from us will give the kids hope and that the hope will bring joy into their innocent lives.
Many people from remote regions of Nepal who were not lucky to get education work as porters for the trekking & expedition. Hard working conditions have caused many death amongst them, leaving their whole family in a helpless state.
We believe that by providing an equal chance to these helpless children a small contribution to humanity is being made.Angel's Heaven also conducts tours to remote villages to rescue children from such desolated family conditions. We give them an opportunity to live their childhood, go to school and help them make their future a bright one.
But without your little and big help Angel's Heaven alone is not capable of carrying out all the work alone. The orphenage is located right behind historical Durbar Square, the ancient King's palace area.
Volunteering at the orphenage is a great opportunity to live in the center of Kathmandu.Our objectives:
Immediate:
-To provide refuge for orphans and street children
-To provide a loving and safe environment for children.
-To improve the lives of victimized orphans and street children of abuse through psychological counceling.
-To protect vulnerable children from drugs and physical abuse.
-To provide an education, that includes skills based training.
-To provide acess to health care and food.
-To rehabilitate child laborers.Long term:
-To found a well facilitated orphans home.
-To establish a school and a vocational training center for orphans and victimised children.
-To prevent child trafficking.
